Registration is now open for An Evening with Liz Moore!

In 2025, we.encountered a wonderful problem for our annual author event: excessive popularity! Due to a viral post from our bookseller, Read It Again Bookstore, Communico registration filled practically overnight—but almost two months before the event! We wanted to ensure that anyone who registered for the event was able to secure a seat, but Communico does not have an easy feature to check registration at the door. That’s why we used Eventbrite to manage attendance with tickets, and it was a resounding success. The ticket system made the check-in process seamless, and anyone who registered was guaranteed a seat.

Ironically, the early popularity led to a different problem: no-shows. Despite all 1,000 tickets being claimed by the end of January 2025, only 613 people checked in to last year's event. Our theory was that the people who signed up so early forgot about their tickets, or otherwise had their plans change. That’s why, in 2026, we delayed opening registration until 5 weeks before the event. We want to completely fill the Forsyth Conference Center!

This wouldn’t be possible without our incredible staff assisting our patrons with the registration process and telling them about the event.
