The title we have selected for our next Reading Globally staff book club is Djinn Patrol on the Purple Line by Deepa Anappara. The book is based on real-life events but is a work of fiction. Djinn Patrol on the Purple Line tells the story of nine year-old Jai and his friends Faiz and Pari who decide to investigate when a friend from school goes missing. The book is set in Delhi, near the end of the Purple Line train tracks, in the neighborhood where Jai lives with his parents and older sister. Jai watches a lot of police shows on TV and is sure that he and his friends can solve the mystery of their friend's disappearance on their own. 

We will meet via GoToMeeting on Tuesday, February 23 at 10:00 a.m. to discuss Djinn Patrol on the Purple Line. We hope that many of you can join us.
