Forsyth County Public Library offers a wide variety of World Language materials to patrons. The Library offers World Language materials to patrons in an electronic format as well as a print format.
The Library currently offers eBooks in French and German in OverDrive/LIBBY. Currently, there are 50 French titles, and 46 German titles. The content of the eBooks ranges from translations of popular English language titles to those that are original to France or Germany. These titles are at the adult level.
The Library also offers eMagazines in languages beyond English. People en Espanol is available through Flipster eMagazines.
OverDrive/LIBBY eMagazines have a large amount of content in other languages.
Titles available in LIBBY eMagazines by language:
- Chinese (Mandarin) - 106
- French - 194
- German - 107
- Korean - 4
- Spanish - 226
At present, eMagazines in LIBBY are not available for other languages that we currently collect in print, including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu. During discussions with OverDrive, we have requested that they explore adding eMagazine content in these languages. There are also eMagazines in OverDrive/LIBBY for languages we do not collect in print, including Japanese, Portuguese, and Russian.
