Summer Reading early registration is open! All those who sign up during the early registration period will be automatically entered into a drawing for a family pack of 4 passes to the Cumming Aquatic Center. Patrons can register May 1-24, but cannot start logging books and earning points until May 25 when the program officially opens.

The FCPL Staff Summer Reading program will also open for early registration on May 1, so make sure you register! We have some exciting prizes for staff this year, plus grand prizes just for staff!

What: Book Talkers - FCPL's Online Book Club for Adults

Formerly Mind Readers, our virtual book club has been rebranded as Book Talkers. 

Book Talkers is a virtual book club for adults with no assigned titles. To further FCPL's #WeKnowBooks theme, we invite patrons to attend and share what they have read recently. At FCPL, we know our patrons read a lot, and Book Talkers provides an opportunity for everyone to discuss what they've been reading without the pressure of reading a specific book.

What: Astronomy of Star Wars

GSU Professor Jay Dunn will lead a discussion on the worlds and aliens of the Star Wars films and compare them with the planets and life in our solar system, as well as extra-solar planets. Along the way, we'll enjoy video clips inspired by Star Wars and other sci-fi favorites.
