2.   We have confirmed that the COVID Vaccine will be the new FDA approved booster that includes protection for the Omicron strain.

Get your Flu Shot and/or COVID Vaccine at HQ on Wednesday, September 14th between 10:00 a.m. – 12 noon

Getting vaccinated against Influenza and COVID is one of the best ways of avoiding contracting either virus.  In order to protect our staff, FCPL is pleased to announce that we have arranged for Walgreens to offer a flu and COVID vaccine clinic on Wednesday, September 14th from 10:00 am – 12 noon at HQ/Administrative Offices.  The CDC guidelines state that it is okay and safe to get both vaccines at the same time.

Your participation is completely voluntary, however if you choose to participate it will be considered work time and you may notate up to one hour on your time sheet (if you were not scheduled to work).  For those employees scheduled to work that day at one of the branches, please speak to your supervisor to arrange the best time to go.

We are also very pleased to be able to offer to cover the cost of the vaccines to any employee who does not have health insurance.

What you need to do:

  1. Email Elise Herbst, herbste@forsythpl.org to let us know you want to sign up to get a shot on September 14th. Please RSVP by September 9th.
  2. Let us know what time you want to sign-up to get your shot between 10:00 am – 12 noon. Also, please indicate if you want to get the COVID vaccine in addition to the flu vaccine.
  3. Once we receive your RSVP, we will email you an insurance form to complete and bring with you.
  4. On the day of the vaccine clinic, make sure to bring your completed form and a copy of your insurance card.

If you have any questions please contact Elise Herbst
