Post Road Library recently hosted the Comfort of Recovery quilt which celebrates recovery over addiction.

Over a hundred hands made the quilt and the project was a collaboration with the Michael C. Carlos Museum and R2ISE to Recovery. From November 8–January 3, nearly 200 people enjoyed the quilt and exhibit; stopping to read the information about it. Thousands more enjoyed the quilt's beauty as they walked in the library. More than a few times, families took pictures in front of the colorful quilt.
Patrons were interested in the quilt and often stopped by the front desk to ask about it. One patron was amazed by their work and asked lots of questions about the quilt and the organization that made it. She happily took the information that was beside the quilt to research further. One of the patron comment cards read, "I am a quilt artist and to see this medium used for such an important purpose is beautiful, great work! Very moving piece."
In coordination with the exhibit, Post Road Library hosted a program about addiction recovery with Erin Thomas from The Connection Forsyth and Alexia Jones, the founder of R2ISE to Recovery. R2ISE to Recovery focuses on recovering after becoming sober through creativity, community, and art.
