Denmark Library Dedication Ceremony

More than 750 community members attended the Denmark Library Dedication Celebration on Saturday, May 10, 2025. 

Elected state and local officials shared stories and insights on the importance of libraries and literacy, praising the important services offered by Forsyth County Public Library. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed mingling with friends and delegates, including commissioners, congressmen, representatives from Georgia Public Library Service, and Forsyth County Government. Library Board members and staff from the past and present were also in attendance.

Special guest U.S. Representative Rich McCormick presented us with an American flag that has been flown over the U.S. Capitol. 

Children and families were wowed with a Bluey-themed story time and a special appearance by Bluey herself! Fun crafts for preschoolers, elementary students, and teens were available throughout the day, and patrons participating in Denmark Library BINGO received  "I'd Rather be at Denmark Library" swag. Denmark High School seniors and chorus members Ava Lazo, Harper Russell, and McKenzie Willis shared their amazing voices with the afternoon crowd with a beautiful a cappella performance. An informative presentation on Ayurvedic Medicine rounded out the day.

Lots of hard work and determination went into opening the Denmark Library. Many thanks to the administrative team who had the vision and skill to guide us through such a unique and stunning project, to the facilities and IT teams who worked tirelessly to implement new technology and services, and to the creative Denmark Library staff who share amazing programs and services with the community every day.
