This past weekend Loanie visited the City of Cumming Christmas Festival at the fairgrounds. We had a great time! Santa was our first visitor, what a privilege! He shared that he had requested cooler weather, to no avail, as perspiration speckled his brow.
We had several visitors from numerous counties marvel at FCPL's bookmobile. Many of our patrons were not aware that they didn't need their physical card to check out and that they could use their child's student ID number as a library card. Our friend Gavin came to visit. He paid a visit to the Bookmobile last year and we snapped a photo of him. He was so excited to be back with us that he didn't want to leave. His mom saw the Library's Facebook post about the bookmobile's presence at the Christmas Festival and it prompted the family to come. Gavin wants to make his visit to the Bookmobile an annual event.
Young children enjoyed playing with the wooden puzzles while older siblings browsed our collection. A homeschool family, new to the county, joined us and signed up for library cards.
Numerous holiday books were checked out along with a good many bilingual books. The Bookmobile was filled with joy and laughter as we served 125 visitors, issued 6 new library cards and had over 75 items check out.

What a cool shot with the third photo! :)
