Stories of Exile - Reading Groups for Public Libraries

When: Tuesday, November 14 at 7:00–8:00 p.m.

Where: Sharon Forks Library

What: In this second Stories of Exile reading group discussion, we will explore the concepts of Identity and Belonging through the short stories "A Friday in the Life of Sarah Zonabend'' and "April 19th" from Chava Rosenfarb's In the Land of the Postscript, and "Indian Uncle Sam" and "Holi Day in America" from Murali Kamma's Not Native. For adults and high school-aged teens. Registration is required to receive the selected readings.


Foundation Directory Online - Your Key to Grants

When: Thursday, November 16 at 1:00–2:00 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library

What: Learn how to use Foundation Directory Online to find a grant for your nonprofit organization. Foundation Directory Online is only available at the Cumming Library. Registration is required. 


Masterminds LEGO® Lounge - Get Your Build On!

When: Friday, November 17 at 4:00–4:45 p.m.

Where: Post Road Library

What: School’s out but the library is open! Tackle new challenges or try out your own best build ideas. Then enjoy some local fame with your creations on display on top of our Holds Shelves all week. Space is limited so arrive early. For grades K-5.


Eyes to the Skies - Discover the UNG Observatory

When: Saturday, November 18 at 3:00–4:00 p.m.

Where: Hampton Park Library

What : Learn more about our solar system with the UNG Observatory! They will bring special solar telescopes to safely observe the sun and planetary models to teach about our solar system. The UNG Observatory will also discuss their current research.


Introduction to Audiobook Narration - With Cassandra King

When: Sunday, November 19 at 2:00–3:00 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library

What: Join audiobook narrator Cassandra King as she discusses all things audiobook narration! Learn about the tools, skills, and requirements to become a great narrator.
