December is a busy month at FCPL! Not only are we offering many of our regular programs, but we have a whole suite of holiday fun for kids through adults. See what’s happening at the library this week. Don’t forget to check out the full calendar of FCPL events for all ages.

What: Around the World Holiday Passport
Where: Cumming
When: All month long!
The holiday season is a fun time to learn about countries and cultures from around the world. Everyone can learn about different cultures and how they celebrate, through books found here in your library.
To participate in the World Holiday Passport program pick-up a blank passport at the Ask Us desk, then read a book, do a craft, or cook a food, related to how other cultures celebrate their holidays.

What: Lee Bryan "That Puppet Guy" - The North Pole Fa-La-La-La Follies

Join us for a sensational seasonal show! This sparkling holiday production displays the hilarious holiday high-jinx as some talented residents of the North Pole perform in their annual talent show.

What: Show of Hands - An ASL Storytime
Where: Post Road
When: Saturday, December 11 2021, 1:15pm - 3:00pm
A storytime for deaf, hard of hearing children, hearing children interested in sign language, CODAs and their families. 
This was a unique and popular program pre-COVID and we're excited to finally have it return to PR for the first time since 2020!

What: Zora Neale Hurston's "Sweat" - Race and American Culture

Explore themes of identity, empowerment, grief, guilt, and morality in Zora Neale Hurston's short story "Sweat" in an open discussion with Dr. Ian Afflerbach of the University of North Georgia.
