It’s All Fun and Games at the Post Road Library

You don’t have to be a Mastermind to know the best part of FCPL is without a doubt our wonderful staff. However, in the Game of Life it is rare that we have the opportunity to slow down and enjoy each other’s company…so PR decided to roll the dice on an after-hours Staff Game Night last year. We may not have played Scrabble, but we sure know how to spell success! In fact, our staff loved it so much that we hosted our second Staff Game Night on October 25th.

PR staff (and a very special guest from Sharon Forks) gathered after the library closed to play some board games, enjoy each others’ company, and chow down on some snacks. Staff were encouraged to bring treats and games to share. This was no Taco Takeover or Pancake Pile-Up, but we had all kinds of unique food to munch on from pizza to pumpkin spice Oreos.

We played a card game called Kittens vs. Corgis where the objective is to achieve as many “followers” as possible. We had a 3-way tie between Sara Baggett-Preston, Ashley Mason, and Hemalatha Rajaram who all finished with 13 million followers. Later in the evening, we played Codenames.

We managed to laugh and bond despite the sabotage and treachery of the games. We don’t want to hold a Monopoly on such an exciting event, so we are extending an invitation to all FCPL staff to attend our next Staff Game Night at Post Road on Friday, December 6th.
