For three years now, Sariah has been presenting an “Art From the Heart” program for families where they paint something based on a theme that she provides. This program is held in late November. In December, we display all of the artwork in the EASY area of the library. We also provide a scavenger hunt connected to this which encourages kids to look at these beautiful creations.
This year, the theme was “What is Your Dream?” and we had 35 submissions from patrons ages 3–50+. The paintings are all very creative and add delightful color to the children’s area. Below are photos of some of these paintings. If you’re at the Cumming Library, we encourage you to stroll through the area and enjoy the lovely works of art by our patrons!
