“Liz Moore took an academic approach to the Adirondacks, the logging industry, and the history that inspired The God of the Woods. After her prepared remarks, the audience asked about everything from the idea behind her title to her reaction to hearing that Taylor Swift was listening to her audiobook. Two hundred patrons waited to get their books signed and take photos with the author. As attendees left the venue, they showered library staff with praise and gratitude for the event.” - hosted by Sarah Brubaker
Knife Making: From Medieval to Modern at Post Road Library (3/31)

“Tonight I had a program presented by the best presenter I’ve ever had! The topic was presented by a local man named Grier Friedman, whose knowledge about knife making combined with his background in theater made for a very informative and entertaining presentation. One patron said that there was information that could have been boring but that his delivery made it more interesting. She said she wished all presenters could be just like him.” - hosted by Melissa Reed
Journey Through America at Hampton Park Library (3/17)

“A little bit of history, a little bit of science, and a lot of fun made for a festive St. Patrick's Day program as we explored Georgia's past and the excitement of the Georgia Gold Rush. After the introduction, everyone rotated through a variety of hands-on activities including a gem panning, rock identification, and a station where they cracked open geodes to discover the crystals inside.” - hosted by Kelly Hollis
High School Cluster Event at Denmark Library (3/24)

“Our school cluster event was a resounding success! Everyone enjoyed the activities, learned how their child's student ID worked as a library card, and signed up for their own cards. Overall, it was a wonderful community event and helped strengthen the relationship between the Denmark Library and our schools.” - hosted by Amy Szvetecz

“We transformed our Meeting Room into a prom boutique! I am proud to say that every young woman that shopped for dresses left with one. One girl chose a dusty rose mermaid dress with gold glitter all over. She said before entering the restroom to try it on, "I really hope this one fits." When she came out with the dress in hand and told us she was taking it, she was wearing the biggest and brightest smile.” - hosted by Erin Palmer
Let’s Go Camping at Sharon Forks Library (3/13)

“The kids and adults loved the performers and enjoyed playing along and pretending they were on a camping trip with their stuffed animals. They also enjoyed the craft afterwards where they made their own binoculars and did a scavenger hunt.” - hosted by Ellie Livingston
Dance Into India at Sharon Forks Library (3/21)

“We hosted a one-hour program introducing different dance styles, and it was a great success. The participants were highly engaged during the presentation. Overall, it was an interactive and enjoyable experience that kept the kids actively participating from start to finish.” - hosted by Brianna Schantz
Toastmasters at Cumming Library (3/21)

“This week the Toastmasters group was extremely productive. Half the teens were speech evaluators, while the other half practiced speaking publicly with speeches about themselves and their interests. The program continues to offer a wealth of practical information in an engaging environment, helping everyone develop essential communication skills in a supportive setting.” - hosted by Dana Anderson
Georgia’s Patriot Daughters at Denmark Library (3/14)

“Leslie Strickland Watkins was a dynamic and engaging speaker with a speaking style that is almost like a dramatic retelling. Patrons gathered around the living stories table before and after the presentation to hear about the many items that Leslie brought for show and tell about Colonial life.” - hosted by Jessica Dillard
Survival Tricks of the Trail with Mark Warren at Denmark Library (3/4)

“Mark Warren had the audience hanging onto his every word to learn about what common plants here in Georgia could save you in a bind and how to identify and use them! Mark covered at least 15 different plants and their important uses. Patrons pulled him aside after the program to thank him for his advice and remark about what a great storyteller he was.” - hosted by Jessica Dillard
