As Georgia sees upward trends in COVID-19 infections, we want to remind you to do the following:
- Wipe down the “touch” surfaces in your office and/or work spaces frequently (keyboard, desk, chair, cabinet pulls, telephone, printer, etc.)
- Use the phone to discuss routine or daily work matters instead of meeting in or outside of offices, in the lobby, or in hallways. Go-To-meetings are always an option as well.
- Keep a physical distance of at least 6 feet apart (more is preferable). Be mindful to not pass each other in the hallways, workrooms, or other confined areas. Instead, step back from one another or take a different route.
- Masks may be removed while you are alone in your office (with the door closed).
No one likes to be “reminded” about these things, but a concern going forward is that it’s easy to let your guard down and feel comfortable being around your co-workers. And, while it’s nice to see each other in person, it’s important to remember that anyone could have COVID-19 and be asymptomatic. So, let’s do our part to keep exposure limited, while we stay connected, stay disinfected, and stay safe.
