Do you ever wonder where the courier goes once it leaves your branch? Well, read on to find out...
Monday through Saturday, the courier starts at Headquarters/Cumming Library and leaves around 9:45 a.m. The first stop is at the Hampton Park Library, and they arrive around 10:00 a.m. Then they travel over to the Post Road Library and arrive around 11:00 a.m. After leaving the Post Road Library, they go to the Sharon Forks Library and arrive around 12:00 p.m. The courier ends its day at the Headquarters/Cumming Library and arrives around 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, Elizabeth Hernandez is the courier driver, and John Fitzgerald drives on Saturdays. If Elizabeth is out, we will have a replacement driver of John or Steve Davis. If John is out on Saturday, we will not have a replacement driver, and the courier will be skipped that day. We do not run courier services on Sundays. The courier takes anything that needs to be transported between the branches, such as books, interdepartmental mail, building supplies, programming, and IT supplies. The Facilities department is happy to transfer any item between branches. We are happy to schedule a special trip to pick up these items if something cannot be accommodated in the courier van due to the high number of book bins. If you need any assistance, please feel free to submit a helpdesk ticket.

ReplyDeleteYay to Elizabeth, no questions asked when I asked her to transport a sombrero, and it got a VIP seat.
Too bad there's no pic of the sombrero in the VIP seat!
