Access Video

Submitted by Jeff Fisher

Access Video is a database that provides Library patrons the ability to stream to over forty thousand eVideos. Patrons can access these videos through the Library's website using their library card and pin number. The content within Access Video includes material from PBS, the BBC, and HBO. The database contains documentaries and news pieces on a wide range of topics, and also a number of plays and dramatic series, such as Call the Midwife. The Library also offers a companion video database for youth called the Just for Kids Video Collection.

Another way to view the content within Access Video is through their app (Access Videos On Demand). However, in order to use the app, a patron must first go to Access Videos through the Library website and make an account.

Steps for Patrons to use the Access Video on Demand app:

  1. Go to Access Video through the Library's website
  2. Select the 'Your Profile' link in the top right hand corner of the main screen
  3. Select the option for 'New User? Sign Up' in the small pop up window
  4. Create an account
  5. Download the Access Video On Demand app to your preferred device
  6. Login to the Access Video on Demand app with the username and password that was just created

Please refer to the screenshot below for an image of the pop up window that displays when the 'Your Profile' link is selected.
