A Very Batty Evening: Bat Walk at the Library

What: Bat experts Larry and Laurie Alvord will talk about the importance of bats, including the sixteen species that call Georgia home, and how we can help them. Their bat presentation will be followed by a walk outside for acoustic bat monitoring.

What: This presentation provides information about budgeting, saving, income, and investing and is designed by a teen for a teen audience (11-17) in support of the Girl Scouts Gold Award project.
Батьківська Хата. Homestead: A Ukrainian Costume Exhibit
When: Visit anytime in September
Where: Hampton Park Library
What: This exhibit by Ukranian Natalia Sturgill features canvas photos of modern-day Ukrainians from Ukraine and the diaspora dressed in historically accurate clothing of the main ethnographic regions. The exhibit aims to visually recreate the lifestyle of Ukrainians over a century ago and demonstrate traditions, arts, and crafts.
