We hope you enjoyed either a long weekend or, at the very least, a day off on Monday. Here are some programs to promote to patrons this week:

Composting and Encouraging Biodiversity in Your Landscape

What: Wednesday, September 6 at 7:00–8:30 p.m.

Where: Post Road Library

What: This five-week program will educate residents on what they can do to have their landscapes certified as a Green Georgia Landscape. This is week one and we will be covering composting and encouraging biodiversity in your landscape.

10 Key Questions to Answer Before You Create Your Will

When: Thursday, September 7 at 7:00–8:00 p.m.

Where: Hampton Park Library

What: Local attorney Michelle Wilson will discuss the importance of making a will and how to make the process go smoothly.

Magic Tree House Book Club – NEW PROGRAM SERIES!

When: Saturday, September 9 at 10:30–11:15 a.m.

Where: Sharon Forks Library

What: Adventures await in the Magic Tree House Book Club!  This program will meet once a month to discuss the Magic Tree House books by Mary Pope Osbourne.  Kids aged 7 and up are invited to read a Magic Tree House book of their choice and then join us for discussion and fun activities.

Becoming a Global Citizen: Russian Foreign Policy

When: Sunday, September 10 at 2:00–3:30 p.m.

Where: Sharon Forks Library

What: Presented by Dr. Raluca Viman-Miller from UNG, the topic this session is "Russia's Changing Relationship with the World" and will cover a brief history of the evolution of the Russian foreign policy post-Cold War and a debate of the changes that led to the more aggressive Russian behavior in international relations. 

Special Needs Resource Fair

When: Saturday, September 9 at 3:00–5:00 p.m.

Where: Sharon Forks Library

What: During this drop-in event, attendees will learn about local resources for individuals with special needs and their caregivers.
