Library Board Meeting Update (02/12/24):
Monday night the Board held its regular meeting at the Cumming Library. There were only two agenda items:
Fiscal Year 2025 FCPL budget revision:
The Board voted to approve the revised Fiscal Year 2025 budget as presented, including revenues of $9,252,564, expenditures of $9,721,880, reserves of $291,700, and $761,016 in budgetary fund balance.
The revision was the result of a negotiated reduction in Bibliotheca's projected maintenance costs. Although the savings of $28,897 may not seem remarkable to the overall budget, they reduce the impact on the operations budget significantly (from a 4.71% increase to a 2.38% increase).
Designation of official custodian for bank accounts:
The Board voted to designate Nikki Watkins, HR and Finance Manager, as the official custodian of the Library’s Public Funds accounts in order to satisfy our bank’s requirements.
