From performances to crafts to education, FCPL has TONS to offer this week! Here are just a few of the upcoming programs to highlight for the week of February 19, 2024.

Teen Career Exploration - Find Your Future

When: Tuesday, February 20 at 6:30–7:30 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library

What: Calling all teens! There are so many career opportunities to choose from when you graduate from high school or college. Learn from a panel of professionals what they do, and how they got there.

Facts in Fiction: Tennessee Children's Home Society – Forsyth Reads Together

When: Tuesday, February 20 at 7:00–8:00 p.m.

Where: Post Road Library

What: Join UNG professor Heather Murray to learn about the facts in Lisa Wingate's novel Before We Were Yours, including a black market adoption

scheme with the Tennessee Children's Home Society. Don’t forget to save your seat for the Forsyth Reads Together Event An Evening with Lisa Wingate on Tuesday, March 26th if you haven’t already!

Great Decisions 2024–High Seas Treaty

When: Wednesday, February 21 at 7:00–8:30 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library

What: Join America's largest discussion program on world affairs. This week’s topic is High Seas Treaty presented by Dr. Jon Miner from UNG.

Great Decisions 2024–NATO’s Future (Rescheduled)

When: Thursday, February 22 at 7:00–8:30 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library

What: Join us for America's largest discussion program on world affairs. Dr. Craig Greathouse from UNG will lead this discussion on NATO’s Future. 

Magic Tree House Book Club

When: Saturday, February 24 at 10:30–11:15 a.m.

Where: Sharon Forks Library

What:  Adventure awaits! Kids age 7 and up are invited to read a Magic Tree House book of their choice and then join us for discussion and fun activities.

Adult MakerDay: Coffee Painting

When: Sunday, February 25 at 2:00–4:00 p.m.

Where: Post Road Library

What: Create something new each month at our adults-only craft program. Whether you love coffee or hate it doesn’t matter, because this month we will be painting with it!

Scenes from Much Ado About Nothing–Presented by the Acting Troupe of Lambert

When: Sunday, February 25 at 2:00–3:00 p.m.

Where: Sharon Forks Library

What: Enjoy selected scenes from their upcoming show, Much Ado About Nothing performed for you by the Acting Troupe of Lambert High School. This contemporary adaptation of William Shakespeare's classic play draws a visual parallel to an affluent Southern College town post College Bowl championship. For grades 6 and up.
