Here are just a few of the amazing upcoming programs to highlight for the week of February 26, 2024.


Hands-On History - Native American Life

When: Monday, February 26 at 1:00–2:30 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library

What: Step back in time and learn how the First Peoples’ skills and ingenuity helped them

to utilize northeast Georgia’s natural resources in this presentation by Smithgall Woods State Park!


Rube Goldberg Machine Adventures - STEAM for Grades 3–5

When: Tuesday, February 27 at 4:00–5:00 p.m. AND 6:30–7:30 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library

What: Join us for a STEAM program inspired by the book series: Rube Goldberg and His Amazing Machines! Kids will learn about the physics behind Rube Goldberg machines, then work in groups to construct their own machine.


Great Decisions 2024 - Pandemic Preparedness

When: Wednesday, February 28 at 7:00–8:30 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library

What: Join America's largest discussion program on world affairs. This week, Dr. Raluca Viman-Miller from UNG will lead the final discussion of the series: Pandemic Preparedness.


Forsyth 1912: Working to Heal - Celebrating Black Heritage

When: Thursday, February 29 at 7:00–8:00 p.m.

Where: Post Road Library

What: Forsyth County residents are coming together to address the painful events of 1912 in creative and positive ways. Join this panel of community leaders and experts to discuss the historical events in Forsyth County in 1912 and the progress made to acknowledge and heal those injustices.


The Big One-Oh! presented by the Forsyth Academy of Performing Arts (2 Shows!)

When: Saturday, March 2 at 11:00–11:30 a.m.

Where: Sharon Forks Library

What: The musical re-telling of the award-winning book is an adventure for all ages!


How to Write a Cookbook - Celebrating Women

When: Sunday, March 3 at 2:00–3:00 p.m.

Where: Hampton Park Library

What: Learn how to turn your treasured recipes into a cookbook and write stories to accompany them with New York Times bestselling cookbook author Susan Puckett.
