Adult crafters rejoice, this is your week! Check out these programs to highlight for the week of August 12, 2024.

Lettuce, Carrots, and Leeks, Oh My! - Vegetable Gardening with the Master Gardeners

When: Monday, August 12 at 6:30–8:00 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library 

What: Join Master Gardener Extension Volunteers and learn how to select different crops to plant now for a fall harvest and whether to plant them from seed or to use young transplants. For adults.

heARTWORK - Crafts for Adults at Sharon Forks

When: Wednesday, August 14 at 6:30–8:00 p.m.

Where: Sharon Forks Library - Meeting Room Side B

What: Create an abstract painting using tissue paper in this adults-only program. The art of bleeding tissue paper consists of wetting the tissue paper and the dyes leak onto the canvas. We will be working with materials that may stain, so be sure to wear appropriate clothing. Advance registration is not required, but space and supplies are limited.

Do-It-Yourself Paper Flowers - An Adult Craft Program

When: Friday, August 16 at 2:00–3:30 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library 

What: This month we will make gorgeous paper flowers. This is a ticketed program, so arrive at least 30 minutes early to get a ticket at the Ask Us desk. This program is for adults only.

Fairy House Craft with artist Lara MacLean - For Adults

When: Saturday, August 17 at 2:00–3:00 p.m.

Where: Hampton Park Library 

What: Let your imagination run wild and create a fairy house with artist Lara MacLean! All materials will be provided. Space is limited. This program is for adults only.

Adult MakerDay: Embroidery Hoop Wreaths

When: Sunday, August 18 at 2:00–3:30 p.m.

Where: Post Road Library

What: Create something new each month at our adults-only craft program! This month we are making wreaths using embroidery hoops. Event passes will be handed out 30 minutes prior to the event.
