Forsyth Creates: Mini Mushrooms at Cumming Library (8/8)

“Each mushroom painting was so unique that all of the projects were individualized. I mentioned the topic of Dragon Con and everyone asked about the future Cosplay Circle program. Lots of patrons seemed interested in the program, and I anticipate that since the interests of crafting and sewing overlap that some of our crafters may attend. There were also three men that came to the program and created their own mushrooms. One of them mentioned he had made it very bright and colorful for his 4-year-old daughter. Overall, patrons were very excited with the craft and it started some really awesome conversations.“ - hosted by Isa Carabello
Lost Towns of North Georgia with Author Lisa Russell at Post Road Library (8/10)

“Lisa Russell came and reviewed her book Lost Towns of North Georgia. In her presentation, she briefly spoke about some of the towns mentioned in her book, starting with Cassville where she lived for a long time and which ultimately started her on the journey to write this book. We also learned that Auraria, Georgia was the true start of the North Georgia gold rush before Dahlonega. Ms. Russell also went on to mention another book of hers that pairs well with this one, which is her book Underwater Ghost Towns, which covers towns and communities that were drowned in the formation of many of our Georgia lakes.” - hosted by Sarah Sander
The Life of a Private Investigator at Post Road Library (8/10)

“Investigator McPhilamy of Complete Investigations spoke about her work as a private investigator. She covered topics such as her most interesting cases, what her typical day looks like, and how she got into investigative work. She also spoke about the work she did investigating Whitney Houston's death and the new evidence she found was featured in the documentary about Whitney. Overall it was very interesting and informative.”- hosted by Erica Emling
Library Play Day at Hampton Park Library (8/7)

“We had a great crowd for our first Library Play Day of the month! Kiddos and their families enjoyed playing with toys and creating tissue paper flowers while the book Wait by Antoinette Portis played on a loop.” - hosted by Kayla Bolton
Baby Play Day at Sharon Forks Library (8/7)

“Today we had most of our regular patrons come in for baby play day with their babies. It was adorable to see the babies recognize me and give a shy smile or come running to greet and say hello or bye. The patrons interacted well with one another and the children enjoyed playing.” - hosted by Anuradha Murari
TAB Information Session at Denmark Library (8/7)

“We had a great first TAB information session! After we went through the information about the program, there were several really good questions about what they would be doing in the program, how we run it, and how it works as a leadership opportunity.
