Please pass this information along to anyone who can  benefit from access to accessible information on COVID-19. The latest addition is to the collection of accessible materials is the addition of the Easy to Read/Simplified Text documents that explain COVID. Public libraries might encounter any number of people who could benefit from information on COVID that is written in simplified text.

The COVID-19 Accessible Materials for People with Disabilities project is funded by the CDC Foundation using funds from its donors and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides technical assistance. Led by the Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation (CIDI) at Georgia Tech, this project focuses on delivering accessible messages of critical health importance about COVID-19 to people with disabilities, their families, and caregivers. The target audiences for translations of COVID-19 guidance are individuals who have limited mobility or are blind, deaf or have limited literacy skills resulting from a variety of factors. The alternative formats include simplified text documents, videos in American Sign Language (ASL), and both digital and embossed braille.
