Past formal Objections to Materials

The list contains formal objections to items within the Library's collection.  Going back to Fiscal Year 2010, most years only see 1 - 2 objections, and sometimes no formal objections at all.   The fiscal years of 2016, 2018, and 2020 had no formal materials objections.  The years 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2017 only had one formal objection to a material. Fiscal year 2019 was the busiest year since fiscal year 2010 in terms of the number of formal objections with six objections, all for very different reasons.  

Since fiscal year 2010, no titles have been removed from the collection due to a formal materials objection.  Several titles have been reclassified due to a formal materials challenge, ex. a title being moved from Teen Graphic Novels to Adult Graphic Novels.  One title had a genre label sticker removed from it after a formal materials objection from a patron.
