Where is your hometown?
Bloomington, Illinois
What’s the most interesting place you’ve lived or traveled?
Cape San Blas. It’s part of a peninsula off of Florida’s gulf coast. I spend time there every year. The beaches are dog friendly and never crowded, so I love to wake up early and go for longs walks with my dogs. We always see dolphins and sea turtles, and if we’re lucky we’ll come across a fishermen catching a shark or stingray while fishing off of the shore.
What are your hobbies?
I paint with acrylics and oils, garden, crochet, and love cooking.
What do you love about libraries?
When I go into a library, it’s like an escape from the world. I love browsing through all the books and it’s such a cozy place to sit and read without being bothered.
What are you reading right now?
American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins
Paper books, eBooks, or audiobooks?
All of the above. I prefer paper books, but if I know I’m going to be reading a lot at night, I read an eBook so I don’t keep my husband awake with a light. On long car trips I listen to an audiobook.
