Congratulations on 10 Years of Service at FCPL!

Submitted by Leslie Marinelli

Every year at Staff Day we recognize FCPL employees who have reached specific service milestones.

Yesterday we shared all the employees who are receiving their 5 Years of Service awards at Staff Day.

Tomorrow we'll share who has reached 15 and 20 Years of Service this year.

Keep reading to learn more about staff who are celebrating...

10 YEARS OF SERVICE

Meredith Causey, MLIS
Materials Services Supervisor, Administrative Offices
“A Highlight of my career was introducing Joshilyn Jackson, one of my favorite authors. I had a blast with fellow ISSs Sarah and Jennifer (hired together) as the Spells Like Teen Spirit team, where we were the winning team. I love tacos, audiobooks with playback speed-up feature, cats, birdwatching, flowers, and Halloween.”

Zachary (Zac) Denton
Collection Support Aide, Cumming Library
“Working at FCPL has been an enriching and valuable experience in a number of ways, and when I started I never would have anticipated reaching ten years. When not at the library, I may be found with family/friends, reading, outdoors (recently came within inches of stepping on a copperhead!), or juggling other jobs. Folks in Atlanta and in other states know me as a musician and poet.”

Jennifer Forbes, MLIS
Information Specialist, Hampton Park Library
Jennifer is the proud mother of a son, Tristan, and has the best hobby ever: fostering adorable kittens for the Humane Society! In her spare time she likes to do jigsaw puzzles, listen to audiobooks, garden, think of off-the-wall ways to make her family laugh, and stress about everything on her To Do list—without ever getting any of it done. When she wins the lottery, she will still work at Hampton Park because she doesn't think she can ever leave, but will also take some time here and there to travel the world.

Jennifer practicing her "librarian glare."

Kamala Pattu
Collection Support Aide, Sharon Forks Library
“I started my library career on September 30, 2013 as a CSA at Sharon Forks and still at SF :)
It's a pleasure working here at FCPL, and I would like to thank my coworkers, supervisor and staff who have made my experience here interesting and enjoyable.”

Sarah Reynolds, MLIS
Branch Manager, Sharon Forks Library
Sarah joined FCPL in 2013 as the Information Services Supervisor at Post Road Library. During her time at FCPL she has also worked in Materials and Outreach, and is currently the Branch Manager at Sharon Forks Library. Prior to joining FCPL, Sarah worked at Chestatee Regional Library System and Athens Regional Library System. This is her 22nd year in libraries. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys camping (in a camper, no roughing it anymore!) with her family, complaining about her large, annoying geriatric dogs, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, and doing mindless match 3 games on her phone or wasting endless hours on TikTok.
