There have been recent inquiries from patrons regarding the safety protocols for Tutor.com. Patron safety is an important issue, in particular given that the majority of Tutor.com users are minors.
All tutors hired by Tutor.com must pass a criminal background check and must also have their education credentials verified. During tutoring sessions, no personal information is exchanged between student and tutor. A tutor's first name and last initial is visible to the student. Student identities are anonymous to the tutor. The tutors are not allowed to discuss personal topics with students. All typing, whiteboard activity, websites researched and files shared during the session are recorded. Tutoring sessions are reviewed and scanned for inappropriate language. Patrons are also able to contact clientsupport@tutor.com with concerns or questions regarding patron safety and security.
A more detailed summary of this information can be found on Drive under 'Materials' then 'Electronic.'
