OverDrive has announced that Time magazine will no longer be available in Libby. The publishers of Time notified OverDrive that the magazine and some international versions were given permission to appear in Libby by mistake. The publishers notified OverDrive that these titles would be removed from Libby on March 29, 2024.
Any patron with an active checkout on the removed titles will continue to be allowed to access the particular issue for the duration of the normal checkout period. All back issues of the titles within Libby will be removed as well. Beginning on March 29, 2024, patrons searching for Time magazine within Libby will be given a message that the title is no longer available.
Time has notified Libby that they are directing patrons to a website where the current issue and back issues may be accessed for no charge.
The titles that will be removed from Libby on March 29, 2024 are:
- Time
- Time Magazine Asia
- Time Magazine Europe
- Time Magazine International
- Time Magazine South Pacific
