Adventure Begins: Amateur Photography Exhibition - Call for Submissions

When: Through May 24, 2024

Where: Sharon Forks Library (participation system wide)

What: FCPL is soliciting submissions for an amateur photography exhibition which will run through June and July at the Sharon Forks Library. Participation is limited to adults. Photos must be submitted no later than May 24, 2024 and each submission will receive feedback and notes from an experienced photographer. The submission form and guidelines can be found here. Dam Safety for North Georgia - Presented by Forsyth County Soil Conservation

When: Wednesday, May 8 at 7:00–8:00 p.m.

Where: Post Road Library

What: Learn how to be safe around dams for recreation and home ownership. Includes a dam breach demonstration. For adults and high school students.

Chess for Kids

When: Thursday, May 9 at 7:00pm - 8:00pm

Where: Sharon Forks Library Meeting Room Side B

What: Learn to play chess, sharpen your skills, or learn some new moves with a certified chess coach from Championship Chess. For grades 2–8.

DIY Japanese Herbarium - An Adult Craft Program

When: Friday, May 10 at 2:00–3:30 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library

What: Make Japanese herbarium bottles in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to get a ticket for this adult program at the Ask Us desk.
