Programming Picks: Week of July 8, 2024

Here are just a few great upcoming programs to highlight for the week of July 8, 2024.

Art Workshop for Teens with Lara MacLean

When: Tuesday, July 9 at 6:00–8:00 p.m.

Where: Hampton Park Library 

What:  Lara will lead teens through a cool pebble art project. All supplies will be provided. Just bring yourself and your creativity! For teens in grades 6–12. Event passes will be handed out beginning 30 minutes prior to the program.

Life-Sized Whodunnit Board Game! For grades 6-8

When: Tuesday, July 9 at 6:00–7:00 p.m.

Where: Post Road Library

What: Join us to play a life-size Whodunnit board game where you are the token moving from room to room! Figure out who committed the crime, in what room, and with what weapon! For rising 6-8 graders. Event passes will be passed out 30 minutes before the start of the event. 

Adventures with Alice in Wonderland For grades 3–5

When: Thursday, July 11 at 3:00–4:30 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library 

What: Prepare to journey down the rabbit hole and into a land beyond your wildest imaginings as we experiment with the science and art of Wonderland. For grades 3–5.

Library Mini Golf Adventure

When: Friday, July 12 at 1:00–4:00 p.m.

Where: Sharon Forks Library 

What: Drop by with the family to enjoy a round of mini golf featuring some of your favorite book characters! 

Do-It-Yourself Wilderness Painting - Call of the Wild Series

When: Friday, July 12 at 2:00–3:30 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library 

What: Join other adults for crafting fun and fellowship! We will paint a beautiful wilderness scene in this final program or the Call of the Wild Series. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early to get a ticket at the Ask Us desk. This program is intended for adults only.

Vision Resource Fair

When: Sunday, July 14 at 2:00–4:00 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library 

What: Come explore resources from Low Vision Supply and GLS (Georgia Library Service for the blind and print disabled) for those with low or no vision. Free vision testing will be provided, along with an assistive technology petting zoo for participants to experiment with tools that may aid them.
