It’s Fall Break! Here are just a few events to highlight for the week of September 23, 2024.
Digital Capture the flag - For Middle School Students in Grades 6–8
When: Tuesday, September 24 at 6:00–7:30 p.m.
Where: Post Road Library
What: Solve puzzles and other challenges to capture the digital flag while learning about cybersecurity. This teen-led program, created by students at Alliance Academy, is a great way to hang out with friends, meet new people, and use your online skills to win the race.
2024 MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival
When/Where:
Thursday, September 26 at 6:00–8:30 p.m. at Hampton Park Library
Saturday, September 28 at 1:00–3:30 p.m. at Hampton Park Library
Sunday, September 29 at 2:00–4:30 p.m. at Sharon Forks Library
What: You're the judge in this film festival which showcases 10 short films from international artists and spans venues in over 500 locations worldwide. Come watch the films and vote for your favorite! Content warning: These films contain strong language and mature themes that are not suitable for minors. Minor children will only be admitted with a parent or guardian.
Immigration Law Basics - Learning the Law

Birds of Prey - Presented by Smithgall Woods Education Center
When: Friday, September 27 at 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Where: Hampton Park Library
What: What's that in the air? It's a bird of prey! Learn all kinds of interesting facts about these avian animals in this family event for ages 3 and up.
Bolivian Cinema: A History of Film Committed to Reality - Hispanic Heritage Month
When: Sunday, September 29 at 2:00–3:00 p.m.
Where: Cumming Library
What: Learn from Professor Jaime Salinas Zabalaga of UNG about the important milestones of Bolivian cinema and its distinctive characteristics within Latin American filmography.
