We are making progress in the search for the next FCPL Director. The timeline and process is still the same as described in the July 8 blog post by Christy Winters. The Library Board continues to work with Bradbury Miller Associates (BMA), the search firm managing this process.
The job posting for the Director position closed on August 11. BMA received a number of strong applications. The Board of Trustees met with BMA representatives on August 26 to select several candidates to move to the next stage. The Board will interview these candidates by video conference on September 16 and September 18.
The Board plans to select three candidates to invite for on-site interviews on October 8 and October 9. We expect to announce the successful candidate by early November, with the goal of the new Director beginning in December 2024 or January 2025.
The Library Board members are all highly engaged in this process and are committed to selecting the best candidate for the job. I share your eagerness to learn who the next Director will be!
