Exciting Staff Day updates regarding everyone’s favorite part…FOOD!
It’s time to think about your entry for the Edible Book Contest! What exactly is the “Edible Book Contest” you ask?
No technical decorating skills required, just the desire to show off your creative spirit! The idea is simple: An “Edible Book” can look like a book, make a pun on a title, refer to a character, or just have something to do with books. Whatever the inspiration, it must be an edible dessert (cake, cookies, cupcakes, pudding, brownies, bars, pies, etc.) Examples of past entries include titles such as: Pete the Cat, Pinkalicious, Matilda, A Clockwork Orange, and Dracula.This year, we are excited to announce TWO VOTING CATEGORIES: Most Creative and Most Delicious!
The contest will be on Staff Day, Friday October 11. Staff will be able to view entries and vote on their favorites throughout the morning. Entries will be served as dessert during the lunch break and the winners will be announced during the afternoon.
We are also excited to announce that this year our lunch will be provided by Chicken Salad Chick!
Make your lunch selections and submit the book title you have chosen for your dessert on your Staff Day registration survey (coming soon).
I can't wait! This is one of the best parts of Staff Day. We have some talented bakers at FCPL!
