Acquisitions Update

Just a brief update on ordering and acquisitions with the Materials Department.

During Fiscal Year 2020, Acquisitions staff within the Materials Department placed 950 orders.  This cause the Library to receive 40,087 items from those orders.  Acquisitions staff also paid 4,958 invoices.

The period of March 16 through June 30 saw 243 orders placed.  13,616 individual items were received off of these orders.  8,556 items came in during the month of May, which was 21% of the total for the fiscal year in terms of items received.

Melissa Black is our Acquisitions Specialist.  She is also assisted by Meredith Causey, Materials Services Supervisor. Preetha Thalamuthu, Materials Processor, also assists with the Acquisitions process. We appreciate all the hard work in ordering and paying for items throughout the fiscal year.
