During Fiscal Year 2020 Collection Development staff created 1354 orders for physical materials. 816 orders came from the regular FY2020 Materials budget, 436 orders came from the Hampton Park Impact Fee budget, and 102 orders were made for the Bookmobile opening day collection. Collection staff also managed and updated standing order plans for various collections. Staff created and placed 424 orders for digital
materials during FY2020. This included 267 eBook orders and 157 eAudio
orders.
Collection Development staff also assumed responsibility for monitoring and responding to online patron purchase requests, beginning in September 2019. Staff handled 803 patron purchase requests from September 2019 through the end of June 2020. Eighty one percent of patron requests were ordered for the Library's collection. The majority of unfilled requests were either referred to InterLibrary Loan, already owned by the Library, a duplication of a previous request, unavailable from our vendors, or the publication date was too far out to order the item. Other requests were for items that were unavailable to order.
Collection Development staff includes Kim Tomblin, Collection Development Librarian; Martha Amerson, Materials Selector; and Janice Anderson, Materials Selector.
