eAudiobooks Update

Just a reminder of some upcoming changes to how we offer patrons eAudiobooks.  As you may be aware, RBDigital will soon no longer be a platform for eAudiobooks.  These titles will become part of the eAudiobook collection on OverDrive.

• Why?  The parent company that owns RBDigital/Recorded Books purchased OverDrive.  The decision was made by the parent company to dissolve RBDigital and move these electronic titles into OverDrive.
• When?  We have no firm dates yet.  We expect that this transfer will take place some time in early autumn.
• How?  Be prepared to work with patrons who have only used RBDigital.  We already have eAudiobooks in OverDrive, but some patrons may not be using these yet.  Patrons will need assistance using OverDrive and its app LIBBY.
• What about . . .
• eMagazines-no firm information yet, but these may move to OverDrive as well 
• This will not effect in any way eMagazines that are on Flipster
• ArtistWorks, Hoonuit, and Universal Class-again, no firm information but continue to direct patrons to the RBDigital platform to access these resources
