Preschool Badge Stickers

Preschool Badge Stickers have arrived and they look great! Here’s everything you need to know about the Preschool Badge Stickers and Preschool Sticker Collector Card. We are certain that our families are going to appreciate this extra bit of fun for their preschoolers.What is a Preschool Badge Sticker sheet?
The sticker sheet is 4”x6” and contains stickers that correspond to the buttons that can be earned by the K-12 kids. This sticker sheet will be given to the parent/caregiver of the preschooler to award at home as the child earns the badges in Beanstack.

What is a Preschool Sticker Collector Card?
Most parents will appreciate an intended destination for the badge stickers, so we are providing a sticker collector card. The front side has badge images (black and white) to receive the corresponding stickers as the child earns them. This Preschool Sticker Collector Card does not need to be returned to the library. It will be a nice memento of their summer accomplishments.

The card on the left is a blank Collector Card. The card on the right is a Collector Card in progress. The colorful stickers really pop against the black and white badge images making it easier for preschoolers to see which badges they've earned and which badges they are still working toward. 

Why aren’t we awarding stickers to preschoolers as they earn them like we do the K-12 kids?

The preschool Beanstack challenge was already designed and active when the decision was made to create Preschool Badge Stickers and Collector Cards. In this challenge, there are no rewards set up for the activity badges, so they will not show up in the Rewards area in Beanstack like the points rewards and there will be no checkbox for them. We decided to allow the parent/caregiver to award these stickers at home. If parents need help figuring out which badges their preschoolers have earned, you can find that information for them or show them how to find it on the mobile app.

Who gets the sticker sheet and collector card?
Only preschoolers who are registered for the preschool SRF challenge in Beanstack are eligible for the sticker sheet and collector card. Please make sure you check Beanstack to see if they are registered for summer reading.

What about preschoolers who registered before the stickers and collector cards were available?
The library will be sending out a special Summer Reading Fun eBlast to let all patrons know these items are now available for preschoolers at the library. We will also email the parents of all preschool children currently registered to invite them to get their stickers and collector card when they come in for their next library visit. Signage will also be provided to display at the branches. 

What do I do when registering a preschooler?
Give the parent/guardian a badge sticker sheet and a collector card for each preschooler. Explain that when their preschooler reaches the Beanstack milestones on the collector card, they can award the sticker at home. They are welcome to use the collector card for this purpose or their child may want to put the sticker somewhere else special to them.

When giving incentive prizes should I ask preschoolers and parents if they got their stickers and collector card?
YES! This will be very helpful. Ask the parent/caregiver if they have received the badge stickers and a collector card for their preschooler. If the answer is no, please give them the items and explain how to use them at home.

When can I start giving them out to preschool parents and caregivers?
Staff may start giving the Preschool Badge Sticker sheets and Preschool Sticker Collector Cards to registered preschool parents/caregivers as soon as your branch supervisory staff puts them out. Branches should be receiving the sticker sheets, collector cards, and branch signage in the next few days.
