On the Road with Outreach: Bookmobile FUN!

As many of you know, the Bookmobile is more than just a bus with books—it’s an experience. This is something that the FCPL’s Outreach Team truly believes and strives to give every patron that steps on the bus.

For instance, we try to have fun and educational activities for the kids to do while they are on the bus like scavenger hunts, fun crafts, a Bookmobile-specific word search, puzzles, and more! Even our door décor is fun and educational at the same time!

 

Kandy prepared last month's scavenger hunt based on the book Hiders Seekers Finders Keepers by Jessica Kulekjian. Small pictures of the animals were hidden all throughout the Bookmobile. In an effort to promote literacy, we encouraged the children to use the book as a guide to find each critter. Everyone was rewarded with a trip to the treasure box upon completion of the scavenger hunt. 

The Outreach Team also enjoys promoting the Library's reading challenges. Pictured below is Brinley looking at all the FCPL Winter Reading Fun trading cards.
