Programming Picks: Week of March 11, 2024

Here are just a few programs for all ages and interests to highlight for the week of March 11, 2024.

Paws to Read

When: Tuesday, March 12 at 4:00–5:00 p.m.

Where: Hampton Park Library Children’s Area

What: Patrons of all ages will have the opportunity to read and relax with a certified therapy dog while improving literacy skills. Participants sign up at the door for 15-minute sessions. For grades kindergarten and up.

heARTWORK

When: Wednesday, March 13 at 6:30–8:00 p.m.

Where: Sharon Forks Library

What:  Attendees will learn about color theory and the art of

mosaics. We will use paint chips samples to create a colorful and patterned piece of art. This program is for adults only.

Post Road Writers' Group

When: Thursday, March 14 at 6:30–8:30 p.m. 

Where: Post Road Library

What: This group meets once a month to offer support and feedback on all types of writing, including novels, children's books, short stories, memoirs, and articles. Participants provide and receive constructive feedback on submissions and discuss suggestions as a group. Registration is recommended.

Fairy Fun - Family Storytime

When: Saturday, March 16 at 2:00–3:00 p.m.

Where: Cumming Library

What:  Join us for stories about fairies and then enjoy some fairy-themed crafts and activities! Afterwards, you can visit the spring story stroll in the library's Secret Garden and complete a special scavenger hunt.

Find Your Family: Genealogy Research Basics - Forsyth Reads Together

When: Saturday, March 16 at 2:00–4:00 p.m.

Where: Sharon Forks Library

What: Explore your family history and learn tips, tricks, and resources for basic genealogy research with Cindie Meincke and Genevieve Nelson from FamilySearch..
