Halloween Costume Swap at Post Road Library (10/5)
44 Children, 38 Adults
“Patrons excitedly entered the room eager to find a costume. There were many costumes taken, and some very happy children. The most popular costume was by far the squishmallow costumes that were donated. I can not wait to do it again next year!” - hosted by Erica Emling
Kitty Corner at Post Road Library (10/6)
28 Children, 30 Adults
“Well, this looks like the start of a wonderful relationship! The patrons had such a good time with the cats that some stayed for the entire 2 hours. The shelter had a table set up with adoption and volunteer information and one of the senior cats found a home and should be adopted tomorrow. This was such a great community partner event, and we look forward to doing it again.”- hosted by Alison Carling
William Kent Krueger at Sharon Forks Library (10/9 and 10/10)

“William Kent Krueger was very personable, and was in the meeting room for the hour leading up to the event to take photos and chat with anyone who wanted to meet him. He shared insight about some of his characters and how they've developed over nearly three decades of the series. The audience had a great time, laughing at Kent's tongue-in-cheek humor and engaging in his storytelling.”- hosted by Sarah Brubaker
Connections Through Creativity at Hampton Park Library (10/10)

“We had a wonderful time in Spooky Stories and S'mores! We played a little ghosties game on the parachute and a candy corn toss. Tracey Walker from the Georgia Public Library System really engaged the kids and had them moving around. Everyone really enjoyed this program and appreciated her storytelling!”- hosted by Kelly Hollis
Forsyth Creates: Crochet Workshop at Cumming Library (10/10)
18 Adults
“We started off demonstrating how to tie a knot, then how to create a chain and single crochet. We had a few experienced patrons who were able to assist each other, which was very nice. At the end of the program, patrons had left with a better understanding of the foundations of crochet. Overall, the patrons seemed to have a great time, and they encouraged each other through frustrating moments.”- hosted by Melissa Gunter
Diwali Celebration at Sharon Forks Library (10/12)

“This year's Diwali celebration was very fun and successful. Patrons enjoyed all of the activities and performances. Before leaving, patrons were offered a small box of sweets and a 2025 Diwali button that they proudly displayed.”- hosted by Stephani Lindsey
Ghost Hunting 101 and Ghost Walk at Denmark Library (10/14)
2 Children, 20 Adults
“Our first ghost program was a success! Denise Roffe talked about the types of hauntings and how they are different from each other. She reviewed the equipment in depth, going over each type of EMF meter and how they use them, the cameras, etc. Patrons were extremely interested in the local haunted spots, and asked questions for twenty minutes after the presentation was over.”- hosted by Shannon Nguyen
Rhythms of India: Exploring Mridangam Music and Dance at Denmark Library (10/18)

“We celebrated Diwali at the Denmark Library with a captivating Mridangam music session presented by Bharatha Darshana (School of Indian Classical Dance & Music). Four talented Mridangam instrumentalists stole the show, with the youngest being a 9-year-old prodigy who played with remarkable skill! A special mention to Soujanya, Artistic Director of the dance school, who added her soulful vocals and beats to this incredible musical extravaganza.”- hosted by Leena Jha
Chocolate Factory Adventure at Cumming Library (10/18)

“We had a good turnout for the afternoon for our Chocolate Factory Adventure! I set up several stations with crafts and activities for kids and their families to do, and I encouraged them to try out all the stations to receive a prize in the end: chocolate bars! One girl who attended wore her Charlie & the Chocolate Factory play t-shirt, and her mom told me she had been obsessed with the book and movies ever since she was in the production, so she had a great time.”- hosted by Rachael Whitfield

“Trick-or-Treat storytime was so much fun! Everyone enjoyed trick-or-treating through the library after storytime. I put out some paper bags, cut out shapes and crayons for anyone that wanted to decorate their trick-or-treat bag. Parents and caregivers really enjoyed this special program.”- hosted by Kelly Hollis
