Spooky Programming

by LeAnne Craig It’s that spooky time of year again, but things are looking a bit different here at Sharon Forks this October. The past two Octobers, we were busy preparing for our annual Library Haunted House. With limited in-person programming happening, it was time to think outside the box. Our alternative….let’s go virtual with the Haunted House! With inspiration from teachers who are using Bitmoji classrooms, our Haunted Library was created. The site includes a link to our virtual Haunted House along with stories, puzzles, book suggestions, games and more, which will be updated weekly. You can visit the virtual Haunted Library here. We are also excited to present our first ever Drive-In Storytelling event. Our very own Tracy Walker, renowned storyteller and author, will be spinning tales on October 30th. Patrons can enjoy the evening from the comfort and safety of their cars. The stories will be broadcast over the radio through an FM transmitter. There will be family friendly tales at 7:00 pm and tales for the not-so-faint of heart at 8:30 pm. We’re planning a few other surprises as well, so mark your calendars and come join us for this unique performance.
