An Evening with Alka Joshi - Thursday, March 25th at 7 PM

Tomorrow evening, March 25th at 7:00 p.m., FCPL welcomes bestselling novelist, Alka Joshi, for a special virtual author talk.  Ms. Joshi will spend the first 15 minutes of the program discussing her journey as a writer, followed by 30-40 minutes of Q&A with attendees.  

Ms. Joshi's debut novel, The Henna Artist, became a NYT bestseller, a Reese Witherspoon Bookclub pick, an LA Times bestseller, a USA Today bestseller, a top 10 Goodreads book of 2020, a top 10 Indigo book of 2020, and is being developed for an episodic TV series starring Freida Pinto. The Secret Keeper of Jaipur, her second novel, premieres June 22, 2021.

Ms. Joshi is a graduate of Stanford University and received her M.F.A. from the California College of the Arts. She was born in India, in the state of Rajasthan, and her family came to the United States when she was nine. She now lives on California’s Monterey Peninsula.
