Outreach Calendar in Outlook

Do you ever wonder what Outreach is doing? Have you had patrons ask questions about visits that don’t show up on the Bookmobile events calendar? Now you can easily access that information in one location – the Outreach calendar in Outlook.

When the Bookmobile is visiting a private facility, we do not publicize those visits on the events calendar because they are only open to those residents, not the public at large. We have had relatives of residents at some of our senior living facilities inquire about when the library will be back on site, so we wanted to provide staff with a resource to get that information without having to track down an Outreach staff member.

Outreach Calendar Permissions:

• Outreach staff can create, edit, or delete events on this calendar.
• All other staff can view the calendar and see full details (event names and info) but cannot create, edit, or delete anything on the calendar.

The calendar will not automatically show up in your Outlook, and must be added manually. Nicholas created instructions that are available on SharePoint from the Information Technology Home Page under Microsoft Resources.
