'ON ORDER' and 'on order'

There are two designations for on order items within the Forsyth County Public Library online catalog.

'ON ORDER' (all caps) are items that have not yet been received.  These are the truest definition of being on order.

'on order' (all lowercase) are items that have been received and invoiced by Acquisitions staff within the Materials Department.  These items are physically within the walls of the Library. 

There are times when ON ORDER items are cancelled due to publisher decisions, or during the end of the fiscal year, when it appears we won't receive the item before June 30th. 

This year we have seen many items either delayed or cancelled due to COVID-19.
