Summer Reading Fun Update

I hope everybody is having a good Monday!  Over the next two months, I’ll be sharing brief, weekly updates on Summer Reading Fun.  Please find information regarding Beanstack registration numbers and our first GoToWebinar virtual program below.

As of today, June 8^th, Summer Reading Fun registration numbers are as follows:

Adult – 463

Elementary – 1,318

Preschool – 294

Teen – 555

Staff – 17

Total – 2,647

Beginning July 1^st, patrons may begin picking up their 500 point prize coupons, as well as their super reader window clings.  Window clings will be delivered to branches in the near future.

Rachel Heck of Wildlife Wonders visited virtually with a zookeeper chat on Saturday, June 6^th at 10 a.m. via GoToWebinar.  Two wolf puppies joined her for the 30 minute program that combined lots of wonderful information about wolves, as well as time for questions from attendees.  For those in attendance, GoToWebinar provided a personal experience with these special animals.  Factoring in that every attendee may have had a parent, guardian, and/or sibling(s) with them, attendance was upwards of 40 people. 

In addition to FCPL’s fantastic ongoing in-house virtual programs, Kyle Puttkammer joins us this week with comic book programs for adults on June 9th and teens on June 11th, and storyteller Barry Stewart Mann will share Dragons, Kings, and Wild, Wild Things with families on June 10th.
