UPDATE - GALILEO Search Redesign

GALILEO has entered the second phase of a continuing redesign project for the GALILEO search function.  

The second phase focuses on the introduction of a new way to sort search results into boxes by category.  This style of search sorting is called 'bento box method.'  The name is a play on the Japanese lunch box that sorts food into compartmentalized portions.  The intent of the bento method is to make search results easier to manage and sort for patrons.  

The bento feature can be turned on and off in the GALILEO search.  The toggle button to turn on/off the bento feature is located just underneath the main search bar.  The bento feature will become the default for searches in December.  

A new drop down menu in the upper left hand corner of the main GALILEO page allows users to switch between the full GALILEO view, as well as Elementary, Middle, and High School views.  There is also a 'tour' feature in the upper right hand corner of the main page.  

Training is available for the new features.  An FAQ is available for the bento feature.  A handout guide to the bento feature is also available to share.
