One Week Remaining to Make Your OE Elections for the 2022 Plan Year!

Submitted by Aimee Brown

Open Enrollment (OE) for the 2022 plan year ends next Friday, November 5th.  As mentioned previously, if you don’t wish to make any changes to your current benefit enrollments AND you do not wish to participate in a 2022 Flexible Spending Account (FSA), send HR an email letting us know.

For the rest of us, now is the time to consider what our benefit needs might be for next year.  Of particular concern, is electing health insurance coverage – especially in light of the recent troubles with Anthem BCBS and the Northside Hospital System.

Kaiser, United Healthcare, and Anthem have all released educational materials and resources to help you learn more about your health insurance options.  You’ll find videos, an interactive OE guide (Anthem), plan comparison charts, as well as flyers explaining how the HMO, HRA, and Wellness programs work.  Check them out!

Anthem BCBS:  https://www.anthem.com/shbp/

United Healthcare:  https://www.whyuhc.com/shbp/benefits

Kaiser Permanente:  https://my.kp.org/shbp/plans/

Eligible staff can make benefit changes on the State Health (health insurance) and/or GaBreeze (all other benefits) enrollment portals as many times as they desire all the way through to the end of the OE period (Nov. 5th).  The last confirmed election will be effective for the 2022 plan year.  Send updates to HR.
