New Member of the FCPL Board of Trustees

I am pleased to share that the Board of Commissioners has appointed Lisa Stortzum as the District 3 representative on the FCPL Board of Trustees, effective July 1^st.  Lisa replaces Tim Plotner, who will complete his third 4-year term on the Board on June 30^th. 

I have not met Lisa yet, but do have some information to share from the biography she prepared for the Board of Commissioners.  She has lived in Forsyth County since 2012 and is the President of the Polo Fields HOA Board.  Lisa is recently retired from the IT industry, with much of her career spent at IBM.  Her family includes a husband, a son (college age), and four rescue dogs—answering the inevitable dog vs. cat question!

Lisa believes that libraries should be a vital part of every community and that Forsyth’s libraries are doing a great job, especially during trying times.  She is looking forward to being part of the planning process for the Denmark Library. Lisa’s first Library Board meeting will be July 19, 2021.
