The American Archive of Public Broadcasting is an exciting new resource resulting from a partnership between the Library of Congress and GBH - Boston. The AAPB brings together public television and radio programs in an online archive. This online archive is very useful for primary resources, as well as for additional content related to popular PBS series such as the Civil War.
One area that may be of interest to FCPL patrons is the To the Moon online special collection that is part of the AAPB. To the Moon contains complete interviews, collected for the 1999 miniseries of the same name, with astronauts, engineers and others who were part of the Apollo lunar program. The interviews may serve as a companion for some patrons to the Forsyth Remembers Lunar Landing Memories, which collects the remembrances of Forsyth County residents regarding the landing of Apollo 11 on the moon in 1969.
FCPL patrons may also be interested in the online collection of Georgia Gazette radio program archives made available on the AAPA from Georgia Public Broadcasting.
